Registration onto the NICAS and NIBAS Schemes is required before starting these club sessions, at a cost of £9. Young people will progress through the levels at different speeds, and should be booked onto the Edge 2 upon completion of their Level 1 awards.

The best programme for children aged 7-14 wanting to gain climbing skills in a fun, structured program that leads to an award at the end of each 5 levels.

In small groups, our friendly instructors coach your child to climb safely under supervision, teaching the basic skills of belaying, tying on to the rope and the basics of good climbing movement.

Edge 1 is the entry level for children aged 7-14have had a go at climbing or only climbed a little before, wanting to learn basic climbing skills on this nationally recognised scheme.

For those never climbed before we recommend you book a Taster session or a Family Fun session first to make sure they are up for the challenge of the weekly Edge club.
